Revs - Thanks for your comment & kind words.

Not only are we Tenzing & Hillary, we are also fit to play the role of Ulysses. How else can we explain our wander lust?

Vamsi - Thanks for your comment & kind words.

Glad to know that this series was useful. We made our bookings thru Cox & Kings, a popular travel agent in India.

We stayed at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront. Holiday Inn Atrium is close by & that's also a very good hotel. Air tickets to Singapore were reasonably priced, since India is close by. So, the hotel rooms were the most expensive part of the trip. Singapore Airlines is the best way to fly there, BTW.

It may be cheaper to travel in Summer, but it will be unbearably hot at that time.

There are packaged deals for 2, 3 or 4 days - but none for a longer period. Such deals generally involve a hotel in the Little India area. This seems to be very popular with Indians.

Should you plan for a trip, do let me know. I may be able to provide more inputs.
